KVYO conducts Clean Kohima Symposium 2019

The Kohima Village Youth Organization (KVYO) today conducted Clean Kohima Symposium 2019 here at Kohima Village Council hall and called for active participation and support of each and every individual to keep Kohima neat and clean.

Delivering keynote address, Pheluopfelie Kesiezie, member Clean Kohima Symposium 2019 called for efficient management of waste and proper disposal of waste. Asking everyone to adopt good sanitary practice, he asked the people to avoid disposal of garbage in drains, streams and rivers.

He appreciated the effort of KVYO to create Kohima a conducive atmosphere to live in. He also told the gathering that Kohima Village Students Union will be initiating “Save Dzüvüru” campaign on June 5 in commemoration with World Environment Day.

He informed that 10 educational institution in and around Kohima have already confirmed their participation and more schools have shown their interest to be a part of the campaign.

Neilhouphrelie Paphino, senior Sanitary Inspector from Kohima Municipal Council and Thangi Manen from Green team Kohima also spoke at the programme.

The programme was moderated by KYVO vice President Zhakuo Whourie and KVYO President Dzüvinguzo Mepfhüo gave concluding remarks.
