La Catalyst - Micro finance exclusively for women entrepreneurs

Morung Express News Mokokchung | July 25   The Mokokchung Entrepreneurs Consortium today launched a new scheme, La Catalyst, a micro finance initiative exclusively for women entrepreneurs in Mokokchung Town, at Hotel Whispering Winds here.   Funded by the Mokokchung Entrepreneurs Consortium (MEC) and supported by Youth Net, La Catalyst was launched to encourage women entrepreneurs in the town by giving microloans at minimal interest rates.   MEC Chairman, Tsukti Longkumer, while distributing the scheme encouraged the women entrepreneurs to work sincerely and towards economic change in the state. Temsutola, on behalf of the beneficiaries, appreciated and thanked the MEC for their effort in promoting women entrepreneurs in the town and for giving them the opportunity to avail loans at very low interest rates.   La Catalyst loan scheme was given to twenty women entrepreneurs from Mokokchung Town. The dedicatory prayer of the micro loan scheme was pronounced by Rev. O. Yashi, Pastor, Sungkomen Baptist Church Mokokchung. La Catalyst is not the only micro finance initiative of MEC; it has more than 135 beneficiaries under various schemes and initiatives.
