She’s used to big audiences. But even Lady Gaga has never had this many eyes on her as she prepares to perform the national anthem at Super Bowl 50. The 29-year-old was confirmed on Tuesday as the voice who will belt out Star Spangled Banner in front of estimated 120million viewers around the world.
Gaga’s performance will be televised live minutes before kick-off at San Francisco’s Levi’s Stadium, as the Denver Broncos and the Carolina Panthers clash for the top prize in American football. This year the famous halftime show will be performed by Coldplay, who will be joined on stage by Beyonce. On Tuesday, Lady Gaga was also confirmed as a performer at this year’s Grammy Awards the following weekend.
