Law students urged to stand for justice

Kohima, December 1 (MExN): The Kohima Law College held its 37th annual parting social cum magazine release on November 28 at State Academy Hall, Kohima. C. Apok Jamir, Parliamentary Secretary for Tourism graced the occasion as the chief guest. He unveiled the annual college magazine and took the stage.  

C. Apok Jamir who is also a law graduate further stated that studying law and obtaining a degree is not enough. Practicing law is a different challenge and in the course of law practice, one must have the courage to do what is right and stand for justice. He encouraged the students that there will be hurdles and obstacles but one must not be afraid to confront them. “Take every obstacle that comes your way, and they will strengthen you. Be courageous, have a clear aim and stand for what is right and fight for a better tomorrow,’ he stated.  

Visevonuo Pienyu, Principal, Kohima Law College, encouraged and exhorted the outgoing students and also highlighted the success and laurels that the college had produced. Aleno Sale spoke on behalf of the graduating students, expressing gratitude and appreciation to the college and the faculty. Sepikyu J Sangtam, President, KLCSU, delivered a speech addressed to the graduating students and also welcoming the chief guest.  

A press note received here stated that the programme was followed by lunch and an evening session of entertainment. The programme was organised by the Kohima Law College Students’ Union supervised by Asst. Professor Kezhokoto Savi who is the student’s welfare incharge.
