LDA candidates doubt job order

Dimapur, May 18 (MExN): The Social Welfare department has come under the cloud that it has issued joining orders to some candidates appointed as LDA-computer assistants in the districts continue to wait for their orders while some have even joined and begun work.
The Commissioner & Secretary is reminded that the candidates should not be denied their rights as they got through the examination by hard work and not by any backing.
Nine candidates, understood to have got through for the appointment, wrote a letter to the Commissioner & Secretary of Social Welfare today expressing doubts at the going-on in the department. The persons also appended their roll-numbers. They said that the P& AR department declared the combined results on March 5, 2011 and had given March 20 as the “last date of acceptance letter.”
“Accordingly, we all have submitted the acceptance letter within the stipulated date. Subsequently, many of our friends, candidates have joined in various allotted departments. Again P& AR department issued another order directing all the defaulters departments to complete the recruitment process by 20th April 2011 following which almost all the departments have now cleared the case and the selected candidates have started working in their allotted departments whereas our case is still pending in the department for reasons best known to the department,” the candidates wrote.
The persons have approached the authorities several times and have requested the department to look into the matter but no action has been taken until date, the candidates stated in the letter.
Advising against denying the rights of the candidates, the letter said that the department “should not make us suffer since we were allotted to your department by the P& AR. We qualified this exam out of our hard labour and not by any backing.”
“We feel humiliated and discriminated in not getting the appointment order along with our colleagues in other department since we had qualified in the same combined exam. We also regret that the government could not maintain its uniformity on this issues,” the letter to the Social Welfare departments stated.
The commissioner & Secretary is asked to look into the matter urgently and issue the appointment order at the earliest to enable the candidates to serve the department.
