Spring Blossoms Academy, Thahekhu on Monday held its 6th Annual Day cum Kindergarten Graduation Ceremony at its school premises.

Speaking at the programme, Chairman of Spring Blossoms Academy, Kitoho S. Rotokha lauded the parents of the students for extending their full cooperation towards the management in nurturing the children. He said the school was co-scholastic in nature whereby providing bookish knowledge was not the only focus but the management and faculty strive to let the students learn through doing things and involving them practically.

“Here in our school, the students learn through participation,” Kitoho said and told the parents that their participation in bringing up their child was equally important to that of teachers. He urged the parents to give sufficient time to their children for proper upbringing.

Speaking on behalf of the parents, Nitoshe, Pastor, NCRC said the parents appreciated the school management for nurturing the students towards holistic and all round development.

Headmistress of the school, Shabana Kylie said the curriculum of the school was not confined only between teachers and students but extends to parents and guardians. She said that the school follows exclusive five-step experiential learning approach where every child could learn and experience without being isolated. She highlighted on some of the activities taken up by the school including summer Bible camp, Swachh Bharat, spiritual awakening programme etc.

She said taekwondo as an art has also become an important part of the school curriculum. During the programme, students of the school presented choreography, drama, poem recitation, songs, guitar ensemble and other performances. The audience was also enthralled with a Taekwondo demonstration. 

Principal of the school, Shetoni K. Rotokha conferred the degrees to the graduating Kindergarten 2 students while the class teacher gave away certificates to the students. Earlier, during the day, Science Exhibition programme was also held at the school premises.
