Kohima, July 16 (DIPR): A legal awareness programme was held at Wokha on July 16 at Dc’s conference hall. A team of Legal Authority led by Mayang Lima NJS, Secretary Nagaland Legal Services Authority, Kohima with Veprasa Nyekha NJS, District Session Judge & Secretary Nagaland Legal Services Authority, Wokha conducted the one-day awareness programme.
The DC and Chairman Legal Services Authority of Wokha, Rovilatuo Mor while welcoming the team also appraised the gathering about the importance of law in every day’s life. He said that priority of public safety, progress and development should be essentially taken into while enforcing or discharging law because law is for individual protection. While acknowledging the rules of law, he said, we are part and partial of it and urged the gathering to avail the benefits from the programme.
Veprasa Nyekha in his keynote address said that, the basic of organizing this programme is to reach out to the weakest and far flung section of the people. He also said that such programme will be organized in the Sub-Divisional Level as well and added that he would be available for any help or queries in respect of legal matters.
