Legal Services Clinic in jails across Nagaland digitized

Kohima, February 25 (MExN): Nagaland State Legal Services Authority (NSLSA) under the guidance of National Legal Services Authority carried out the digitization of Legal Services Clinic (LSC) in all the jails of Nagaland from February 14 to 24.

The project aims to maintain proper record keeping of the activities in such clinics and to have data with regard to the court cases pertaining to each prisoner readily accessible in the said clinics. Prisoner data is to be maintained in local computers which can be accessed by the digitized Legal Services Clinic in the respective jails. Particulars of the orders passed by various courts, next date of hearing etc, along with the names of advocate representing the Under Trial Prisoners (UTPs) in the courts will help and ensure that no UTP remain unrepresented, said NSLSA in a press release.
