‘Linking Education to Employment’

YouthNet and Japfü Christian College, Kigwema signs MoU

YouthNet and Japfü Christian College, Kigwema signed a Memorandum of Understanding on ‘Linking Education to Employment’. The aim of this MoU is to impart the college students’ training and real work experience while they are in their Final Year of college, a press note informed.  

Dr. Visakhonü Hibo, Principal, Japfü Christian College, Kigwema said the MoU was a landmark move as students from the College would get real life work experience while they are still in college.  

Speaking at the occasion, Razouvikhol Lüho, Corporate Affairs and Public Relations, YouthNet emphasized that NJC and NCDC are connected with over 150 clients and they would facilitate the students to get real life experience while they pursue their education or after completion.  

This would also get them ready for employment when they graduate.  

Stating that that there is a need to keep young people busy in doing productive things, said Lezo Putsure, Director YouthNet highlighting that each year Government jobs are becoming scarcer.  

On the brighter the private sector is growing, he said adding, Nagaland will see more entrepreneurs and as private players come in and to met such demand, the state needs young people with the right skills.  

“Linking Education to employment is a starting tool to bridge this gap,” he added.
