Imphal, May 14 (NNN): Liangmai Naga Council, Manipur (LNC-M) has called for “social boycott/excommunicate” of Zeliangrong Baudi- Assam, Manipur and Nagaland (ZB-AMN) President “for his anti-Liangmai activities.” The decision was made during the LNC-M annual general meeting held on May 11 at Puilong village. LNC-M in a press release said that “the president may appear himself before the office of the LNC-M within 10 days from the date of this press release, if he wishes to defend his position.” Meanwhile, apropos to the ZB press statement, the LNC-M stated that it is not a constituent unit of Zeliangrong Baudi. Moreover, the Liangmai people from Manipur had disassociated from every Zeliangrong organization as declared in ‘Liangmai People Convention-2015' where the president himself was a signatory of the declaration. “Therefore, ZB or any other Zeliangrong organization does not represent Liangmai people of Manipur whatsoever,” it stated. “Despite intimations to Zeliangrong organizations to strike off ‘liang’ from their nomenclature, they continue to use it which is a serious breach of conduct,” it said.
