ANPSTA general meeting

Kohima, July 28 (MExN):
All Nagaland Pre-Service Teachers Association (ANPSTA) general meeting cum election is convened on August 2 at 10.00 am at Indian Red Cross Building, Kohima.The Association Information & Publicity Secretary has requested all the members, officials, unit office bearers, all teachers recently appointed and al the undergoing trainees of the entire district to attend the function positively.

Medical camp at Sitheke Basa village

Dimapur, July 28 (MExN):
The medical team from malaria department visited Sitheke Basa village and a medical seminar was conducted on July 23 at the Council Hall which was well attended by 350 members. The team was led by Dr Moa Jamir, district programme officer with other officials and group. Sitheke Basa village chairman in a press release informed that the team emphasised on prevention and awareness of malaria and distributed medicines and mosquito nets.

NFA to sign MOU

Kohima, July 28 (MExN):
The president & Members of Nagaland Football Association (NFA), signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for Nagaland Premier League will 442 Management will be held on July 29 at 3.00 pm at Hotel Japfü Kohima.

NSF Federal Assembly on Aug 5

Dimapur, July 28 (MExN):
The Assembly Secretariat of the Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) has informed all the Federating Units, Subordinate bodies, senior leaders and all concerned of the Federation that the 1st Federal Assembly for the tenure 2011-13 will be held on August 5 at 11:00 am at the NSF Conference Hall, Oking-Kohima. NSF Federal Assembly speaker RS Jollyson in a press release has requested all concerned to attend the assembly positively and agendas proposed to be deliberated must be submitted to the Assembly Secretariat 48 hours before the
commencement of the same.  

Industrial Village Razhüphe informs

Dimapur, July 28 (MExN):
  The Industrial Village Razhüphe (IVR) Council in its meeting held on April 5, 2011 had decided to inform all concerned that nobody is allowed to put up any signboards in IVR which is likely to confuse the jurisdiction if the village. “Any such signboards appearing in the village will be liable to removal without any further notice. All are requested to extend co-operation in order to maintain peace and harmony,” the secretary of the village council
Keneingulie stated in a press note.

KSC 50th Fresher’s meet

Kohima, July 28 (MExN):
Kohima Science College (KSC) Jotsoma will observe its 50th Fresher’s Day on 30 July at its college auditorium. Minister Education & SCERT Nyiewang Konyak and President Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) Kelhouniezo Yhome will grace the occasion as the chief guest
an special guest respectively.

ZRSU inter school literary meet

Dimapur, July 28 (MExN):
The 2nd inter school literary meet under the theme “Exploring Excellence” organised by the Zunheboto range Students’ Union (ZRSU) will beheld on July 30 at the Town hall Zunheboto. ZRSU president Khuketo Y Yepthomi in a press note informed that Y Vihoshe Murru, Deputy Inspector of School, Zunheboto will be the chief guest and Kakugha S Rotokha, Deputy Inspector of School, Aghunato the guest of honour.

DSSU meeting today

Dimapur, July 28 (MExN):
The Dimapur Sumi Students’ Union (DSSU) has convened am executive meeting on July 29 at 11:00 am at the Banker’s residence at Notun Bosti. All the officers are requested to attend the meeting.

ANSTA Peren unit informs

Dimapur, July 28 (MExN):
All government school teachers under Peren district are informed that as per the resolution adopted during the executive sitting at Jalukie Town on July 19, a sum of rupees 200 per teacher will be collected from July 2011 salary as central ANSTA membership fee and unit welfare fund. This was informed in a press release issued by ANSTA Peren unit.

DYC meeting today

Dimapur, July 28 (MExN):
The Dimapur Youth Congress Dimapur has convened an emergency meeting on July 29 at 11:00 am at Congress Bawan. All the office barers, executive members and all AYC president of five AC Dimapur are informed to attend the meeting without fail. “No separate information would be issued,” informed a press release issued by DYC general secretary.

ZSU service on July 31

Kohima, July 28 (MExN):
In view of the Zisunyu Students’ Union (ZSU) Golden  Jubliee to be held from 13-14 December 2011, a one day service at Zisunyu Baptist Church on July 31 is being organized for better understanding among members and for collecting information about those people living outside the village. General Secretary T.ZSU, Asinlo NSU has requested all the Zinsunyu tsipwen irrespective of sex and ages living outside or in the village are requested to attend the service without fail.

World population day fortnight

Dimapur, July 28 (MExN):
World population day fortnight was observed from July 14 to 24 at District Hospital, Kiphire. Family planning camp was conducted during this fortnight with free distribution of medicines. Altogether 25 lap ligation and 29 copper T device were performed by the medical team led by Dr Kutsutho, gynecologist. This was informed in a press release issued by MS, district hospital Kiphire, Dr Punokiu.

Tsungremmong festival at Longsa

Mokokchung, July 28 (DIPR):
Nagaland Minister for Planning, Evaluation, Vety. & AH T.R. Zeliang will grace the Ao Tsungremmong festival as the chief guest while Advisor Planning North East Council Shillong, J. Lhungdim, IDAS as the guest of honour at Longsa village under Mokokchung district on August 2 at 10 a.m.

Environment & sanitation campaign launched

Dimapur, July 28 (MExN):
With the theme “One New Humanity in Christ” the Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC) will be celebrating its Platinum Jubilee from April 19 to 22, 2012. In view of the Platinum Jubilee the Environment & Sanitation Committee of NBCC has launched campaign at Kohima Law College on July 26 with Rev. Hotokhu P. Zhimomi President Kohima Baptist Pastors Fellowship, Kezhokhoto Savi President NVCO and Kuolachalie Seyie as speakers.  Committee will be conducting campaign in all schools and colleges in and around Kohima town. Rev. Kiezotuo Zhale Senior Pastor Baptist Mission Church Kohima pronounced invocation and Akang Ao Principal KLC thanked the participants. Kuolachalie Seyie did paper presentation on ‘Civility & Civic Sense’. Rev. Hotokhu did the sharing and Savi encouraged the young people to take the lead by citing an example starting from your own kitchen, college premises, etc and civic sense is the need of the hour stating that our society is still lacking in civic sense and dignity of labour.

Salumi Village council notifies

Kohima, July 28 (MExN):
Salumi Village council’s village chief Head GB and Ex-officio Salumi Village council communicates to all the concerned officials, leading NGO’s and leaders of various platforms that the village council chairmanship of Salumi village is under dispute and the matter is in the court of Deputy Commissioner Kiphir. Ex-officio Salumi Village Council Kithong Hd. GB in a press release has mentioned that till the finalizaton by the court or by the government, nobody should recognize or consider T.Shophu as village council chairman of Salumi. Further it added that till the case is finalized any corresponding should be addressed to Hd. GB and Ex-officio VCC Salumi Village. Any person, authority or any lea ders considering T. Shophu VCC Salumi shall be at his/her own risk, added the press release.
