AAUD meet on Aug 13

Dimapur, August 11 (DIPR):
Akuluto Area Union Dimapur (AAUD) has convened a meeting on August 13, 5:00 pm at its banker. All office bearers and village/town/women representatives are requested to attend the meeting. Also, the representatives are reminded to submit the data asked for.

ATAN meeting on Aug 13

Dimapur, August 11 (MExN):
All the teachers who have appeared suitability test (both written and oral) on November and December 2010 at GHSS Kohima, and Directorate of School Education respectively are hereby informed that a meeting has been convened on August 13, 2011 at 4:00 pm at ISBT Purana Bazaar, Dimapur. A press note issued by Kaheli Swu, co-convener, ATAN stated that the meeting is held to discuss the matter related to recently declare result and kept in abeyance by the State Cabinet. Therefore, all teachers are requested to attend the said meeting positively without fail.

ATAN Mkg extends support

Dimapur, August 11 (MExN):
The Aggrieved Teachers Association of Nagaland (ATAN) Mokokchung Unit has extended its support to its central body regarding the retention of the affected teacher which as verified and recommended by the Directorate Verification Committee (DVC) and was duly approach by the state cabinet. The Association in a pres note appended by its secretary and president has appealed to the Government to honour it approval without further delay and consider the grievance of the affected teachers. ATAN further appeal to all the individual and NGOs to understand the grievance of the affected teachers since all the ATAN members are well qualified and most of them are trained teachers, serving the department for many year.

Car pass/invitation cards for I-day

Kohima, August 11 (DIPR):
All AHODs, Officers till the rank of Joint Secretary, HODs, NGOs and all the awardees have been informed to collect the Independence Day invitation cards and car passes from the office of the Deputy Commissioner, Kohima on August 13 (Saturday) during office hours.

CASA general meeting on Aug 13

Kohima, August 11 (MExN):
The Chozuba Area Sports’ Association (CASA) has convened its second general meeting on August 13 at 9.30 am at the residence of vice president, Tusoveyi Lohe, Chozuba Town. General Secretary CASA Kukhoto Venyo in a press release has requested all the office bearers and unit president along with one representative to attend the meeting positively.

Handicraft workshop at Noklak Town

Noklak, August 11 (DIPR):
A quality invocation manual handicraft workshop was held at Noklak Town hall from recently organised by Nagaland Bamboo Development Agency (NBDA). The main target of organising the workshop is to promote the quality handicraft and to identify the reality of craftsman. The craft items on the day were strainer, tray, headgear, fruits tray, luggage, money purse, small souvenir etc. The workshop was conducted by Dr. Vegato, M. Shakiba, Ruko Chase, Kine and Asola. The resource persons were Putchong, Pukoi, Longchen DB. ADC Noklak Vekeshe also attended the workshop and encouraged the 28 participants.

Head GB Noksen village passes away

Noksen, August 11 (DIPR):
Te eldest brother of C.M. Chang MP, Aoyongdang Chang Head GB Noksen village Tuensang expired this morning at 5 a.m. at Tuensang town. Lt. Aoyangdang was 90 years of age and is survived by 3 sons and 3 daughters. He died of old age and breath his last in his eldest daughter home at Tuensang town. The mortal remain of Aoyongdang Chang will be taken to his native village Noksen where his body will be laid to rest.

Legal awareness prog on Aug 13

Dimapur, August 11 (MExN):
Programme of legal awareness organised by the Dimapur District Legal Service Authority will be held on August 13 at DC conference hall Dimapur from 11:00 am. Lecture on various topics will be made as follows: Law on human rights-Akito Zhimomi, Addl Solicitor General; Law on juvenile justice-N Suyie, chief judicial magistrate-I; Law on domestic violence act-P Pius Lotha, advocate; Law on motor accident claims-Imti Imsong, Advocate; Law on consumer-P Leonard Aier, principal CLC; Law on criminal procedure-Y I Singh, advocate and Right to information act-K L John, Advocate.

NGOs to visit institutions on I-day

On the occasion of Independence Day celebrations on August 15, various NGOs will visit institutions as follows: Mental Hospital -Nagaland Women Voluntary Association; Old Age Home - Kerala Club; Kohima Orphanage - Beauty and Aesthetic Society of Nagaland (BASN); Leprosy Colony - Nagaland Contractor & Suppliers Union; TB Hospital Khuzama - Dolphin Club; Naga Hospital - Gorkha Public Panchayat; District Jail - Puliebadze Club; Eden Garden Orphanage - Nagaland Adventure Club; Kripa Centre - Rotary Club; Mt. Gilead Home - Royal Club and UGRC - Classic Club.

NPF Phek Women Wing executive meet

Dimapur, August 11 (MExN):
  NPF Phek Division Women Wing has convened an executive meeting on August 17, 2011 at 11:30 am, at PWD guest house, Phek New Town. This was informed in a press note issued by general secretary, NPF Phek divison (Women Wing).

Two join NPF

Dimapur, August 11 (MExN):
The Veterinary colony Jalukie, Ward No. 2, NPF Unit President welcomed Albert and Ineukang of H/No. 38-B and140 respectively to its party fold (NPF) on August 8 officially. “The two leaders having 8 followers each had defected from INC to support the Dynamic leadership of Shri Nephiu Rio, Honourable Chief Minister of Nagaland and Shri T.R Zeliang, Minister for Planning, Veterinary & AH, Evaluation and Parliamentary Affairs,” stated a press note issued by the NPF unit president Jalukie, Paugube.
