Taxi pre-paid counter system

Kohima, January 19 (MExN):
The All Nagaland Taxi Association Kohima Unit is introducing taxi pre-paid counter system for Kohima to Dimapur for the convenience of the passenger and taxi owners/drivers at Opposite New NST Kohima. This arrangement has been introduced for the safety and convenience of commuter and also establish a more disciplined passenger transport services. Tohanba inaugurate ponger log drum
 
Tuensang, January 19 (DIPR):
The Parliamentary Secretary for IPR, Economics & Statistics, R. Tohanba formally inaugurated the village log drum at Ponger village on January 18. The log drum size is 36 ft in length and 11 ft in diameter. He also inaugurated four newly constructed khel wise morungs in the original site namely Keangdoepungru which was build since 1411 AD and others included limpsangru, yangumru and asoru. While speaking as the chief guest, he called upon the villagers for a cultural revival in renaissance and to preserve it through the generation.
 
ANCSU 3rd Union Assembly postponed

Dimapur, January 19 (MExN):
All the affiliated units of All Nagaland College Students’ Union, executive and senior are informed that the 3rd Union Assembly scheduled on January 25 is postponed to February 5, 2011. This was informed in a notification issued by ANCSU speaker, Vilhousielie.

RTI meeting at Tuensang
 
Tuensang, January 19 (DIPR):
A review meeting of the implementation of Right to Information (RTI) Act was held at Deputy Commissioner Tuensang Conference Hall on January 19 under the chairmanship of State Information Commissioner, Rev. Dr. W. Pongsing. EAC Hq. Tuensang, Zapuno Sophie represented the District administration, district head of offices (PIOs) in the District attended the meeting. In the meeting the Information commissioner RTI gave introductory report on sensitising awareness and application on RTI.

School edu notifies
 
Kohima, January 19 (DIPR):
In a partial modification to the Advertisement No. ED/NOD/Exam/2010 the Department of School Education has informed that the interview date for the post of 24 Graduate Teachers and 400 Primary Teachers by various District Level Selection Committees (DLSC) which was fixed on January 20 is hereby notified that in respect of the districts of Tuensang, Mon, Longleng, Kiphire, Peren and sub-division of Meluri, the interview date has been postponed to 3rd February 2011. For these districts and sub-division the date for submission of application has also been extended to January 31. The qualification for appointment of teachers will be as per the relax norms specified in the department’s notification No. EDS (A)-5/2002(pt) dated 10th January 2011. In the rest of the district, the interview for the post of teachers will be conducted by the District Level Selection Committees on January 20 as per original schedule.
