ZPTW Society golden jubilee

Kohima, December 2 (MExN):
The Zapami Pfutsero Town Welfare Society will be holding its golden jubilee on December 3 at Pfutsero Town Hall from 10:30 AM onwards. Neiba Kronu, deputy chairman, state planning board will grace the occasion as the chief guest.

NSLSA seminar on justice today

Kohima, December 2 (DIPR):
The Nagaland State Legal Services Authority (NSLSA) is organizing a seminar on “Access to Justice in Nagaland - Role of Legal Services Authority” at Heritage, Kohima on December 3. Judge, Supreme Court of India & Executive Chairman, National Legal Services Authority, Justice Altamas Kabir will be the chief guest. There will also be a session on “Juvenile Justice in Nagaland” on December 3 at Police Conference Hall, Chumukedima Dimapur at 1 p.m.

Biometric extended for DMC Ward No.23

In consideration to the appeal made by GB’s and Chairmen of various colonies under DMC Ward No.23, the DMC & Charge Officer CEO Imtirenla Jamir has extended the time further to December 4 for enrolment of Biometric of the households.  

Agri Minister to attend Business Meet

Minister for Agriculture of Nagaland, Dr. Chumben Murry will grace the Business Meet of the Hamriyah Free Zone Authority: Government of Sharjah, United Arab Emirates with the State Government of Nagaland as the Chief Guest while Dr. Rashid Al Leem, Director General of Hamriyah Free Zone as the Guest of Honour at the Heritage (Old D.C. Bungalow) Kohima on December 5 at 11:00 a.m.

All India Essay Competition on Dec 9

Dimapur, December 2 (MExN):
There will be All India Essay Competition on the “Parliamentary Democracy: Gateway To Good Governance” on December 9 (Friday) at 11:00 AM in the DC’s conference Hall, Kohima to mark the Centennial Year of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA). While informing this, Joint Director, Directorate of School Education Zaveyi Nyekha added that the selected schools for the First Phase are asked to send 2 (two) students each to participate at the said essay competition without fail.

Inter State Excise check gate inaugurated

Dimapur, December 2 (MExN):
The Excise department under the supervision of the Superintended of Excise Kohima had a simple inauguration programme on December 2 at 10:30 am for opening of inter State Excise check gate at Khuzama Nagaland-Manipur border. It was inaugurated by V. Manna Sumi I.E, in presence of Neiziezolie I.E and Medothi Chakhasang 2nd O.C Khuzama P.S.

Kerala Club celebrates Pre-Christmas

Dimapur, December 2 (MExN):
The Kerala Club Kohima celebrated advent of Christmas on December 1 at Kohima. The programme was presided over by its President K. Issac and Christmas message was delivered by Rev Fr. Mathew Thuniampral, Secretary, Education Commission, Kohima Diocese.  Vote of thanks was delivered by K. Ravindran, Cabinet Secretary. They also condoled the sudden demise of Lt.Gen (Retd) Eppen Jacob Kochekkan, a well-wisher of the Club.

Zumvu attends exhibition at China

Kohima, December 2 (MExN):
Proprietor of Zumvu Printex Kohima, Neisatuo Angami attended the China International Exhibition for All Printing Technology & Equipments held at Shanghai, China on November 14 to 17 at their own expense for upgrading business. Zumvu in a press release said that he was greatly impressed with high Technologies as more than 3000 (three thousands) different items/equipments were displayed in the event. “Even though we want to invest in some attractive printing machines for our state, due to many constraints like Lack of market, outlet and funds, instead of bringing new Technologies, we follow only in others footsteps when thousands of opportunities are still unexplored.”
