NSDA to receive National award
Kohima, December 13 (DIPR): Electrical Inspector, T. Thiya Jamir of Nagaland State Designated Agency, in a press release stated that the NSDA has been selected for second prize in the State Designated Agencies Sector for the National Energy Conservation Award 2011. The National Energy Conservation Day Award function will be held on December 14 at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi where Prime Minister of India will inaugurate the function. Chief Electrical Inspector Er. K.T. Wapang Ao will receive the award on behalf of the Electrical Inspectorate of the Nagaland State Designated Agency, Kohima.
ENPU Peren annual meeting on Dec 16
Dimapur, December 13 (MExN): All the members of the Eastern Nagaland Peoples’ Union Peren, Nagaland are informed that there will be an annual meeting on December 16, 2011 at the Union Treasurer (near Saw Mill) at 1:00 pm. Concern on sale of duplicate medicines in Zunheboto
Zunheboto, Decemeber 13 (DIPR): The monthly DPDB meeting of Zunheboto district was held on December 8 at DC Conference Hall at 11:00 am.
The programme was chaired by ADC (HQ) Zunheboto, Govind Jaiswal. He expressed concern on the sale of duplicate medicines in Zunheboto district and urged the medical department to investigate the genuineness of the medicines as they are of life saving importance.
The issues on a separate transformer for Heshukha Memorial District Hospital, creation of village level health care sub-center at Kawoto village and disbursement of pensioners pay through Nagaland Co-operative Bank (NSCB) Zunheboto branch were all deferred to next meeting. The DSCO (Soil) highlighted the reports from the mini-soil-lab on the soil fertility status of the district and informed all the departments in the district that farmers seeking for help should be directed to the soil department. The programme was attended by all heads of the offices of the district.

Workshop on evaluation system of CBSE conducted
Dimapur, December 13 (MExN): A workshop on ‘Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation’ system of CBSE was organized by ARTC&S at Assam Rifles Nodal School, Dimapur on December 10 and 11. A press note received here stated that the workshop was facilitated by faculties from NIIT Limited in collaboration with the CBSE, New Delhi namely Rachna Swaroop, Amrendra Pandey and Nipin Paul.
A total of 43 teachers from three schools of ARTC&S including ARNS Dimapur, AR Junior School Shokhuvi and AR High School Diphu attended the workshop and enlightened the academic staff with the innovative system of CCE, which is solely meant to bring about a change in the assessment patterns in schools and enhance the quality of India’s educational system.
Brig Vijay Singh, SM Commandant ARTC&S and Chairman ARNS Dimapur was the chief guest on the occasion. Speaking on the opening ceremony, he welcomed the faculties from NIIT Limited and advised all participating teachers to learn each and every aspect of the CCE system so as to benefit the Schools and students. He emphasized on standardization of the educational institutions run by ARTC&S and assured the teachers that the management committee will always work for the development of the Schools and to uplift the quality and standard of education in AR schools.

Wokha DPDB meet focuses on roads
Wokha, December 13 (DIPR): The monthly Wokha District Planning & Development Board meeting was held on December 12 at DC conference Hall Wokha under the chairmanship of Deputy Speaker NLA, Ralanthung Yanthan.
Reviewing the last meeting minutes, the chairman requested the head of offices under Wokha district who have not submitted the 12th 5 years plan to submit the same at the earliest. A Committee was constituted headed by, ADC HQ, Anthony Ngullie, DPO, CMO, DEO, Chairman Kyong Hoho, President Kyong Eloe Hoho and Team leader Wokha Town Council Advisory Board for naming of Town Roads. The house also requested the committee to identify proposed roads and names of prominent and eminent figures/personalities to be name after them and submit the proposal to the DPDB for approval. The chairman also informed the members that, Rifle Shooting Competition for DPDB members will be held on December 19, and Sr. S.P, Wokha and ADC Wokha were instructed to make necessary arrangement for the same.
Voicing serious concern the house deliberated at length over the bomb blast incident that took place on 8th December 2011 at the Administrative Officers Building, the house condemned the dastardly act committed by unidentified miscreants and requested the Police authority to investigate the case seriously and take stringent action against the culprits. The house also observed 1 minute silent prayer in memory of Lt.Yikhao Ngullie District Forest Officer, Doyang who expired on 10/12/11.
