41 AR informs on firing practice

Wokha, February 4 (DIPR):
The 41 Assam Rifles will carry out day/night firing practice from February 7 to 12 at the following times: Day Time-0800 hours to 1700 hours, Night time-1800 hrs to 2000 hours. In this regard public and residents in an around the firing range area are requested to keep away from the firing range in order to avoid loss or injury to human lives, lives stock and materials.

Census training at Chiephobozou held
 
CHIEPHOBOZOU, February 4 (DIPR):
A three-day training programme for Enumerators and Supervisors for the 2nd Phase was started on January 31 and concluded on February 2 at Customary Court Hall, ADC Office, Chiephobozou. During the training programme ADC Chiephobozou, Martha R. Ritse thanked all the Enumerators and Supervisors for attending the training while delivering the welcome address. The training masters were Amenla Tonger, Ngullie including Nodal Officers K. Semy Assistant Director, Sentimeren GIS Map Investigator and M. Lotha Compiler.
 
DC Tuensang notifies

Dimapur, February 4 (MExN):
The DC Tuensang has declared that the villages under Tuensang district shall select/elect member of the village council within 15 days from the date of issue of this notification with the prevailing customary practices and usages as per Nagaland Village Council and Area Council Rules 1979. This was informed in a notification issued by DC Tuensang, Y. L Jami.

DDPODU condemns

Dimapur, February 4 (MExN):
The Dimapur District Pick-Up Van Owners & Drivers Union (DDPODU) has condemned January 28 incident where one of its member was robbed around 4:00 pm at Marwari Patti, Dimapur. According to the condemnation note issued by the Union president Tongpang, the miscreants tried to snatch away the Tata Mobile bearing Redg. No NL-07 A-4040 however they failed. The Union while condemning the act has appealed to the concern authority to trace the culprit and give befitting punishment.

KSSU conveys best wishes

Kohima, February 4 (MExN):
The Kohima Sumi Students’ Union (KSSU) conveys best wishes to all its students of the HSLC, HSSLC and degree levels, appearing for various exams. General Secretary KSSU, Mughato Kibami in a press note appealed for sincerity and dedication during the exam to bring laurels to the Sumi’s in particular and to the Nagas in general.

The office of the Election Commission, Kyong Students Union (KSU), Okying Wokha informs that as per the results of the election conducted on February 4, 2011, the union declares the following candidates as elected for the following posts for the tenure 2011-2013. President -Subenthung Lotha, Vice President-N Amos Humtsoe, general secretary- Amos T Odyuo, finance secretary, Renchio Murry.

NSU seminar on ‘Career guidance’ held

Dimapur, February 4 (MExN):
The Njauna Students Union (NSU) organized and held a one day seminar “Career Guidance” programme on January 28, at Town Hall, Jalukie.  A press note issued by Andrew Nice, president (NSU) informed that resource persons for the seminar were assistant professor Ditalak (Administrator SETAM NU Dimapur) who spoke on the topic ‘General Services”, Suilu (Veterinary, Dimapur) on the topic ‘Medical’ and exhortatory given by Deisam Pame (Nehemiah Evangelist). Further, the NSU expressed gratitude to the resource persons and to all the pupils. The Union wishes to come out good result in coming examination of class X, XII and degrees, the note stated.  

TSU wishes students

Kohima, February 4 (MExN):
Tanhai Students’ Union (TSU), under Mon District wishes to all the students, preparing for the forth coming exam, be it HSLC, HSSLC, Degree and to all the diploma holders in general. President TSU, T. Methank Konyak and General Secretary TSU, S.Lokmong Konyak in a press release stated that with tireless efforts only, victory will be in the hands of the examiners. “Cultivate now and celebrate the good comes of fruits”, stated the press release while wishing the native students in particular, ‘decision lies in your hands, whether you make the future dark or bright”, added the press note.

Meeting/Programme on Feb 8

Benreului Kangbau Dimapur:
The Benreului Kangbau Dimapur annual session (general meeting) will be held on February 8 at 9:00 am at the resident of Paukwerang Reunim at Over Bridge Colony, Burma Camp, Dimapur. Therefore, all the Benreului members residing in Dimapur are requested to attend the session without fail.
Press conference: A Press Conference by the Director of Census Operation, Nagaland will be held on February 8 at 2:30 p.m. at the Heritage Old DC Bungalow Kohima. The Press Conference will be held with regard to Phase II of Census 2011. In this connection all the media persons are requested to attend the press conference.

Zunheboto DPDB: As resolved in Zunheboto DPDB meeting held on January 10 last, the monthly DBDB meeting for the month of February 2011 will be held on February 8 at tourist traditional hut, Satakha Town at 11:00 AM. All the DPDB members of Zunheboto district have been requested to take note the change of venue and attend the meeting positively. This was stated in a release issued by K. Sekhamo, District Planning Officer, Zunheboto.

Naga United Village foundation day: The Naga United Village 43rd session foundation day celebration will be held on February 8 at 10:00 am at local ground with R. Khing, parliamentary secretary Horticulture, Nagaland as the chief guest. The formal service will be followed by exhibition match, tug of war (resident vrs non-resident) and football (council vrs youth and mothers vts girls).
