Green Sons meeting on May 9

Dimapur, May 7 (MExN):
Green Succession of Nagaland State (Green Sons) has convened a meeting on May 9, 4:00 p.m at the Oral Dental Care Clinic, Opp. Metro Hospital, Dimapur. All the Executives Members, Advisor are requested to attend the meeting positively.

Seminar for aspiring entrepreneurs

Dimapur, May 7 (MExN):
The Youth Association of Nagaland (YAN) is organizing a seminar for entrepreneurs on May 13 at the IMC hall in Dimapur. Parliamentary Secretary of Industries & Commerce Nihoshe Yepthomi will be the chief guest of the vent themed “unleashing entrepreneurship.”  The seminar will focus on students and youth entrepreneurship “irrespective of qualification status and gender” according to a note from YAN. The organizers hope to build and instill confidence and self-reliance in entrepreneurs. Resource persons are P Leonard Aier, principal of City Law College and Issac Zhimomi, Equity Investment Consultant. The association has also informed its units to “send at least 20 people” for the seminar and a list on their particulars. Their details are to be submitted to the YAN office or to Dimapur District Youth Coordination Committee on or before May 11. ANTA Kohima meeting on May 10

Kohima, May 7 (MExN):
  General Secretary, All Nagaland Taxi Association (ANTA) Kohima unit will hold a meeting on May 10 at 8.00 am at ANTA Office Kohima to discuss the matter relating to the collection of yearly fees and other important issues of the association. Medo Keyie Secretray ANTA Kohima unit in a press release requested all the taxi owners of Kohima to attend the meeting without fail.

ANSTGA meet held

Dimapur, May 7 (MExN):
All Nagaland Small Tea Growers Association (ANSTGA) office bearers and unit presidents and secretaries held a meeting on May 5 at its head office. In the meeting, the house resolved to move the High Court for inconsistent subsidy released by the Tea Board of India in April 2011 and for recovery of subsidy amount released earlier. Further, it has resolved to contribute Rs 200 to every small tea growers (beneficiaries of plantation subsidy) from tea Board of India to meet the expenses of the association the district unit officers are directed to take necessary action for the same on or before March 31, informed a press note issued by its general secretary .

International Nurses Day on May 12

Kohima, May 7 (MExN):
The Trained Nurses’ Association of India, Local branch Kohima, NHAK will celebrate International Nurses Day on 12 May with Mrs. Kaisa Rio, Lady wife of Chief minister, Nagaland as the chief guest. The celebration includes Lamp lightning by Amongla, Deputy Director Nursing, invocation by K.Temsü, Retd. State nursing Suptd, introduction of the theme by Vikeyiekhole, Principal Tutor, School of Nsg, NHAK. Senior nurses will present special number followed by speech and vote of thanks by R.Ayangla, General Secretary TNAI, Local branch Kohima.

Thanksgiving service held

Dimapur, May 7 (MExN):
In continuation of Western Sumi Hoho Centenary celebration (migration of Sumis to Dimapur areas) that was held on February 11 at Niuland town, a thanksgiving service was organized at Western Sumi Hoho’s Hiyam (Office), Chekiye Village on April 30. The thanksgiving service was attended by GBs from Western Sumi areas and all Western Sumi Frontal Organisations. Rev. Hovito Tuccu conducted the service and thanksgiving prayer. Earlier, Chekiye Baptist Church Women Leader pronounced the invocation prayer, informed a press note issued by general secretary of Western Sumi Hoho.
