AKM executive meeting on Jan 3
 
Mokokchung, December 30 (MExN):
In connection with the forthcoming Ao Students’ Conference (AKM), General Conference, there will be a joint meeting of Executives, Senior Executive on January 3, 2011 from 10 am onwards at the Office Conference Hall. AKM general secretary Tongpang Ozukum in a press release has requested all the members to attend the meeting without fail. At the same time, all the Range Students’ Unios under AKM are again informed to submit three flags on or before January 3, 2011.  
 
Department of Fisheries mourn
 
Dimapur, December 30 (MExN):
The Department of Fisheries, Nagaland mourns the untimely demise of Neikezotuo, Fishery Inspector on December 30, 2010. Neikezotuo was presently posted under Phek establishment and was a dedicated and sincere officer. Zenohol Angami, Addl. Director of Fisheries, Nagaland, Kohima on behalf of the staffs of the Fisheries Department has conveyed its deepest sympathy and condolence to the bereaved family members and relatives.
 
Khar students’ conference cum sport held
 
Mokokchung, December 30 (DIPR):
A two day Khar Students union conference cum sports got underway at Khar village under Mokokchung district on December 21. The programme graced by J. Wati Walling, Director, Sericulture, Government of Nagaland, where hundreds of students from different parts of the state attended the Conference.  C. Tali Jamir, Senior Advocade, Gauhati High court, Kohima Bench and Imcharenla, Commandant, 11 (IR )BN Chumukedima were the resource persons. On second day, the sports meet was graced by S. Teka Jamir, Joint Transport Commissioner, Nagaland where indigenous games were played along with modern games and sports.                
 
MCCI prohibits sale of lottery, calendar & raffle
 
Mokokchung, December 30 (DIPR):
Mokokchung chamber of Commerce and Industries (MCCI) has issued an order restricting sale of lottery ticket, calendar, raffle etc. to shop owners with immediate effect. The order was issued as there are some individuals and groups who are indulging in such unauthorized business every year further appealed to the people to report any such unauthorized selling.
 
PSC general meeting on Jan 13
 
Kohima, December 30 (MExN):
The Phom Students’ Conference (PSC) will hold its general meeting on January 13 at 9:00 AM at its office headquarter, Longleng. Stating this in a release, the PSC general secretary Shahsha Phom informed all the federating units, executive councils and union assembly to attend the said meeting without fail.
 
TASU 32nd session from January 12
 
Dimapur, December 30 (MExN):
The Tizit Area Students’ Union (TASU) will be conducting its 32nd session inter village tournament at Tizit Hq. from January 12 to 19 with Azheto Zhimomi, Advisor Sericulture & Corporation, Nagaland as the chief guest and Khongjah Loungh, president Konyak Students’ Union and T. Aloh Wangham, chairman Development Authority of Nagaland as the guest of honour during the ‘Students’ Night programme’ and closing ceremony respectively. The Union in a press release has requested all the 24 federating units under TASU to participate in the meet without fail.
