Mon, April 9 (MExN): Long Lasting Insecticidal Nets (LLIN) was officially launched by ADC Mon, MA Shihab IAS on April 8 at CMO office, Mon.
The main objective of this programme is to achieve universal coverage and maximum utilization of LLIN to all population living in high malaria endemic areas in order to have a significant reduction in morbidity and mortality rate due to malaria.
MA Shihab, in his opening remark, appreciated the medical team for their commendable job and for being an active department throughout the year, which he has noticed during his one year stay in the district. He also wished the team to continue to work in the same spirit and to go ahead and reach out to the people, particularly those who are less fortunate.
In the mean time, Shihab also mentioned that our expectations rely mostly on our children and so we should know how to give them proper education. One of the most important pre- requisite of good learning is to get proper sound sleep, to which the launching of LLIN will be a channel to achieve it.
Furthermore, he advised the participants to encourage the people to have clean living surroundings in order to maintain good health. He concluded by wishing the department a successful outcome of the programme.
