Longkhitpeh Village joins Clean Election Campaign

Kiphire, September 7 (MExN): As an outcome of several rounds of meetings in the past few months, the Longkhitpeh Village Council, Church and the general public in their joint meeting held on August 24 have unanimously declared to adhere to Clean Election Campaign resolutions set by NBCC and fully support USBLA Clean Election Committee resolutions.  

It was stated in a press release that Longkhitpeh Village is under Longkhim-Chare administrative jurisdiction of Tuensang District while the Church is a constituent member Church of the United Sangtam Baptist Churches Association (USBLA).  

The Council resolved to practice “One man, one Vote”, not use intoxicants drugs and liquor, abstain from selling and buying votes, allow only one common platform for all the political parties and shall not allow campaign in both individual and public places.  

The Council further appealed to all the general public to commit themselves to the resolutions and elect the rightful candidate.
