Lotha Hoho to boycott ULB election

DIMAPUR, JANUARY 17 (MExN): The Lotha Hoho, in a meeting with the public of Wokha town, surrounding villages and Lotha frontal organisations today, resolved to boycott the ULB elections.  

A press note from the Lotha Hoho informed that a meeting of all the colonies of Wokha and Bhandari towns will be held on January 20. Each household of Wokha town is to be represented by a member and Bhandari town is to be represented by all colony leaders with at least five members from each colony. The resolutions adopted in this meeting will be presented to each colony and each colony will meet the next day for follow up action of the resolutions. It was also decided that the Lotha Hoho will hold a general public meeting on January 28. All the village councils of Wokha district have been asked to attend the meeting with at least 10 members. The resolutions of the January 20 will be presented here for implementation. It asked all village councils to contribute funds for supporting the Joint Action Committee and volunteers for the execution of the action plan. It also asked the Kohima Lotha Hoho and Dimapur Lotha Hoho to attend the meeting positively.
