Mokokchung, November 9 (DIPR): Under the theme ‘Nurturing fate’, the Mokokchung Lotha Hoho celebrated 50 years of its existence on November 7 at Town Hall here with Minister for Health & Family Welfare, Election, Nagaland, Imkong L Imchen as the chief guest.
Imkong said Lothas inhabited Mokokchung long before the inception of the Mokokchung Lotha Hoho. Therefore, he said, as neighbours we cannot be separated nor isolated but have to live as family.
The Minister maintained that Lotha is one of the most important tribes among the Naga family and its role in the historical chapter of the Nagas is prominent.
Lothas have an important role to play in nurturing our society in promoting unity among the Naga tribes so that together we nurture our fate, he added.
He reminded that as the community celebrates its 50 years, “we now have to look forward to contribute our effort to build a strong and dynamic Naga society, devoid of tribalism for a better and peaceful Naga family.”
