Dimapur, November 8 (MExN): Lotha Hoho Medziphema Town and Kukidolong Lotha khel jointly organized the 3rd joint Tokhü Emong celebration at Kukidolong ground on November 7.
Miatho-u Krose, Chairman handloom and handicraft, Government of Nagaland graced the occasion as special guest and emphasized on importance of upholding the values of one’s cultures and traditions. He said that one should be proud of one’s own tribe while respecting the sentiments of other tribes in order to achieve a colorful and vibrant Naga society.
Earlier, Z James Kikon, convenor, Joint Tokhü Emong committee delivered the welcome address and Ezamo Shitiri, ex-chairman, Lotha Hoho Medziphema town explained the significance of the festival. The festival was marked by folk song, traditional go-kart race, tug of war, cane sliding, stilt bamboo walk race etc and concluded with Tokhü feast.
