LPO wants exclusion of Lotha community in solution campaign for Nagas of Nagaland

DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 12 (MExN): The Lotha public Organization (LPO) has appealed the 13 tribes of Nagaland “who has been vigorously voicing out to support and unite for early political solution for Nagas of Nagaland” to exclude the Lotha community.

According to a press release issued by LPO chairman Sulanthung Humtsoe and general secretary Zaremo Kikon, “any Lotha representative who are on board of the solution campaign for Nagas of Nagaland are representing and participating in their own personal and individual interest” and not in the interest of the Lotha public as a whole.

The LPO also alleged that the “present Lotha Hoho led by Er Mhondamo Ovung team is unmandated, unapproved and unrecognized self-styled organization” and does not have consensus from the Lotha tribe.

It further alleged that ever since the Kyong Hoho was dislodged by the Lotha Hoho in 2014, it has not convened a single general Lotha public meeting pertaining to the kitchen issue of Lotha tribe.

The LPO meanwhile urged the Government of India to concede to the core demands of the NSCN for separate Naga national flag, constitution in the ambit of the current negotiations to the protracted Indo-Naga political solution.
