Maj Gen Raju Chauhan is new ADG of NCC Directorate, NER

Shillong, June 12 (MExN): Maj Gen Raju Chauhan has assumed the command of NCC Directorate, NER, Shillong as ADG w.e.f June 5. An alumnus of National Defence Academy, Khadakwasla, Pune and Indian Military Academy, Dehradun, Maj Gen Chauhan was commissioned in 18th Battalion, The Brigade of Guards on June 9, 1984, informed a press release. Maj Gen Chauhan also attended the very prestigious Defence Service Staff course of DSSC, Wellington and Higher Air Command course. He has performed exceptionally well in all career and professional courses, it added.   Maj Gen Chauhan has held various important command, staff and instructional appointments in 33 years of military career.  He commanded 6 GUARDS in Southern Comd and Western Comd theatres. He commanded an Armoured Brigade in Strike Corps. He has held important appointments in Army and had distinction of serving overseas in Lao PDR.   He has MSc degree from Madras University as well as a degree in Master of Management Studies from Osmania University, Hyderabad. A highly accomplished officer, he has been awarded the CISC Commendation Card, according to the release.
