Manipur to stop issuing ILPs

The Manipur State Government has decided to close Inner Line Permit (ILP) counters, which have been opened in various Manipur Bhavans and elsewhere outside the state, from March 18, as part of its precautionary measures for COVID-19 prevention in the state.

 


This information was given by Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh on Tuesday while visiting the old airfield in north Imphal.

 


Meanwhile, awareness programmes on COVID-19 are going on in various parts of the state. The Manipur government has also closed all education institutions from March 13 to March 31.

 


However, all kinds of examination already scheduled including both theory and practical of exam conducted by Board of Secondary Education Manipur (BOSEM) and Council of Higher Secondary Schools (COHSEM) will not be affected.

 


The state Home department has also imposed restriction of any gathering of more than hundred persons in the state.
