Dimapur, August 14 (MExN): Mass social works were conducted in various districts and towns in Nagaland in preparation for the Independence Day celebration 2019.

 

MON: Mon District Administration organised a one-day mass social work in Mon Town on August 10. During the social work, government employees of all department and citizens led by respective ward executives took active participation in cleaning the office premises, pedestrian foot path, road etc.

 

WOKHA: In Wokha town, the social work was conducted on August 10 in all colonies, wards, government offices and private institutions. It was participated by all the citizens and students of the town despite bad weather. 

 

THONOKNYU: At Thonoknyu, mass social work was held on August 12 supervised by the ADO (Civil) Thonoknyu, Alongdhimen Jamir. All public, government staff, DBs and GBs took part in the mass social work.


CHANGTONGYA: In Changtongya town, the mass social work held on August 12 was led by SDO (C) Changtongya. People from all walk of life participated at the mass social work by cleaning their respective wards, drainage, filling the potholes in order to keep the town clean & hygienic. It was conducted under the supervision of the ward authorities. It was also conducted at all government office compound by their respective staff. 

 

KIPHIRE:  Mass social work was conducted in all the eleven wards and offices of Kiphire on August 13 under the supervision of the ward chairman and head of the offices.

 

PHEK: Mass social work was conducted at Phek head quarter on August 13 and also in all the respective offices.  Government servant and public participated in the mass social work.

 

AGHUNATO: Mass social work was carried out in Aghunato town on August 14. GBs, Adhoc TCMS, elders and the public gave active participation in the programme.
