Master Art Workshop culminates

Kohima, February 1 (MExN): The Pop up Art gallery of the Master Art Workshop culminated at Old NST bus stand, Kohima on January 31 with Alemtemshi Jamir IAS (Retd.) as the special guest. The programme was organised by Rattle & Hum Foundation in collaboration with Art and Culture Department, Nagaland, Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) and event partner Himalaya Fine Art.


Speaking on the occasion, Alemtemshi expressed that art is a concept of an individual’s emotions. This form of idea is inherent in men. Any form of art should drive mankind forward in a positive manner. He also added that in the midst of technological singularity, artists and their works should stand up for human dignity. He further said that this Workshop that was conducted has amplified the love of art that the Nagas have within themselves. He also thanked the participants and the artists and master trainers who helped in making the workshop successful.


Director of Admission, SCAD Hongkong, Pelesino Ane Kevichusa announced the names of the participants who were chosen to visit SCAD university. They were: Ruokuoselhou Miacheio, H. Akup Buchemhu, and Neiphrezo Ezung.


Eleven participants took part in the workshop which was held from January 22 to January 31. Viveek Sharma artist and master trainer, and Ajit Nagarkar, assistant trainer were the master trainers for the workshop.
