Mokokchung, August 5 (MExN): Mokokchung District Legal Services Authority (MDLSA) conducted legal awareness seminar at Unger village on August 5.
Khape Koza, Principal District and Session Judge Mokokchung and Chairman MDLSA spoke on legal awareness, legal aid and customary law. Moajungla, Panel Lawyer, Dimapur District Legal Services Authority spoke on Protection of Women from Domestic Act (2003) and schemes like AGP, ICDS, JSY, NRLM, scholarships for disabled students, pension for disabled persons and COTPA. Meanwhile, Moatemjen, Panel Lawyer, MDLSA spoke on the role and functions of MDLSA, legal rights and Right to Information Act, 2005.
Tongpang, Master Trainer, Nagaland State Legal Services Authority spoke on role of Para Legal Volunteer, free legal service and customary law.
