MDTOA to continue indefinite ‘chakka bandh’

Mokokchung, November 23 (MExN): The Mokokchung District Truck Owners’ Association (MDTOA) has stated that the ‘Chakka bandh’ in Mokokchung will continue “indefinitely”.  

The ‘Chakka bandh’ which has been in force since November 21 restricts movement of all commercial trucks and pick-up trucks along the Mariani-Mokokchung (NH-702D) and also Mokokchung-Amguri road.  

Meanwhile, MDTOA officials along with the DC Mokokchung and Ao Senden officials undertook an on-spot inspection of the NH-702D on November 23. The inspection was also joined by Er Limaakum, Superintending Engineer, PWD NH (Circle-1) Nagaland: Kohima from Kohima Chief Engineer office, Er Chubatoshi, PWD NH- Division-II Mokokchung, SDO-II and their department, and Contractors and Pick-up Truck Union Mokokchung (PTUM) representatives.
