Meghalaya eyeing Limca Book of Records on human logo

Shillong, July 3 (IANS) The Meghalaya election department will soon submit documentation regarding the formation of the biggest human logo by young voters, an official said on Monday.   The logo formation was held on Saturday at the Jawaharlal Nehru Sports Complex, as part of the launch of a state-wide drive to enrol voters with a special focus on first-time electors.   "A total of 2,830 young boys and girls in the age group of 18 and 19 enrolled as new voters and formed a 75 feet x 120 feet size human logo," Chief Electoral Officer Frederick Roy Kharkongor told IANS.   "We are in touch with officials of the Limca Book of Records. We will be sending the documentation (video recording, photographs) to them by July 8. We are hopeful of entering the Limca Book of records," he said.   Earlier this year, more than 6,000 voters took their photos collectively with voter cards in their hands at one place at Ludhiana in Punjab and entered into India Book of Records.
