Mid-Level Officer urged to cope with development of technology

Kohima, July 10 (MExN): Capacity Building & Training programme for Mid-Level Officer under Capacity Building and Training assistance funded by Ministry of DoNER, Government of India and organised by Directorate of Industries & Commerce, Government of Nagaland is underway from July 10 to 15 at the conference hall of Industries & Commerce Hall, Kohima with Additional Secretary, Industries & Commerce, Hokhuli K. Chishi as the chief guest.  

Addressing the participants at the inaugural function, she congratulated the Director and the officer for organizing the capacity building and training programme stating that it will go a long way. She mentioned that serving the department and looking after some files are not enough in this world of technological advancement. She urged the officers to cope with the development of technology and inform that the mid-level officer to bridge the gap between the junior and senior officers. The chief guest also mentioned that it is only when we attend a training that we recognize our short comings and focus on the need to develop our capacity building.  

Director Industries & Commerce Nagaland, I. Bendangliba in his opening remarks said that this is one of the first capacity building ever held in the department for the mid-level officers. Director urged the staff not to miss a single training session and asked them to share and asked any question from the resource person. He informed that various topics like status of agriculture production, potentials of tourism industry, status of power production, an entrepreneur’s perspective for promotion of enterprise in the state, forest products and industrial potential, labor acts and rules, building and innovative ecosystem towards entrepreneurial livelihood, Export and import rules and procedures, schemes and programme of NABARD, schemes and programme for promotion of Khadi and Village Industries. He informed the officers that the topics for the programme are selected keeping in view the importance and role of the department.  

The inaugural session was chaired by Deputy Director, Er. Y. Lipongse Thongtsarwhile vote of thanks was delivered by Additional Director, Er. S. Temsulong Jamir.
