A Company Operating Base (COB) of the Assam Rifles was reportedly fired at by unknown miscreants at Tobu sub-division, Mon on Tuesday night.
Police sources from Mon said at around 11:30 pm some shots were fired at an AR COB located at Nyoku area some kilometers away from Mongyakshu village under Tobu sub-division. The AR retaliated and an exchange of fire ensued.
Fortunately, there was no report of casualties from the AR side, the police sources informed while adding that a case would be registered in this connection. More details were being awaited at the time of filing of this report.
