The grooming session for Miss Phom 2017 contest scheduled to take place on September 29, 2017 at Longleng district with the theme “Beauty to inspire” began on September 21, 2017 at Tourist Lodge Dimapur. The organising committee of “Miss Phom 2017” has robbed in renowned model Esther Jamir, musician Nise Meruno, designer Bambi Kevichusa and Miss Nagaland 2016 Vilokali Zhimomi as the resource persons for the grooming session; Toshizen as the choreographer and Former Miss Dimapur Avi Kechu as the mentor. This year the organising committee has introduced new subtitle ‘Viewer’s choice award’ (sponsored by Zynorique Initiatives) which will be judged through the “Miss Phom 2017” Facebook page. Contestants’ photos will be uploaded on the Facebook page wherein viewer’s can go to the “Miss Phom 2017” page and the contestant that receives the maximum ‘likes’ will be awarded with the subtitle. The voting will be open till September 28, 2017, 12 AM. The photo shoot of the contestants was done at One Stop Photography studio, Dimapur by photographer Mongsen Buchem, Videography and Profiling Tinted Lights. The clothing for the photo shoot of the contestants is sponsored by Fusion, Precious Me Love (PML), Liying and accessories by Runway Nagaland and D’Ana.
