MITE hosts seminar on learner centered classroom

Kohima, August 22 (MExN): Modern Institute of Teacher Education (MITE), Kohima has organised one day seminar on ‘building a learner centered classroom through emotional intelligence’ with Dr. Rukulü Kezo, Assistant Professor, Department of English, Modern College, Kohima as the resource person.  

MITE principal in a press release said that the seminar focused on learner centered classroom which is the need of the hour.  

Dr. Kezo talked about the shifts of learning in a learner from literacy skills to social skills. She also emphasized on the constructivist approach of learning and exploring the learner idea through multiple activities. Creating a learner friendly classroom by integrating emotional intelligence into the learning environment was also stressed upon.  

The seminar was chaired Daikho Manehrü, Assistant Prof, MITE and the welcome address was delivered by HL Gangte, Vice-Principal, MITE. The seminar concluded with a discussion hour.
