Mokokchung, January 12 (MExN): The District Administration Mokokchung has extended to provide “all needed support to Katibenla”, who recently won the National Award in public recognition of her outstanding performance as Best Creative Child with disabilities.
She was awarded a Certificate, medal along with cash award of rupees fifty thousand on December 3, 2015 on World Disability Day at New Delhi.
A press release issued by the Care and support Society, Mokokchung said that Katibenla has not only brought laurel to the district of Mokokchung but for the state of Nagaland by receiving the prestigious national Award in public recognition of her outstanding performance as Best Creative Child with disabilities.
The society also stated that during the interaction, Katibenla expressed that her biggest dream and challenge is to work by herself. “We are hopeful that one day she will overcome and win over all other challenges and be able to stand on her feet,” the note added.
Katibenla (Locomotors) is a member of Disable people Organisation, Khensa under CBR (community Based Rehabilitation) for Person’s with disability programme implemented by Care and support Society Mokokchung. She sings and recites poems and she has also release her video CD album “Ku Salang”.
