MoHFW Regional Director assesses District Hospital Dimapur

Dimapur, June 25 (MExN): The Regional Director, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (MoHFW), Guwahati, Dr. Parthajyoti Gogoi visited District Hospital Dimapur on June 25.  

Dr. Gogoi interacted with Dr. Z Kheshito Zhimo, Medical Superintendent and Medical Officers in charge of various departments at the District Hospital, informed a press release received here.  

Stating that all hospitals are to be brought up to the Indian Public Health Standards (IPHS), he said he is visiting District Hospital Dimapur for this purpose to make necessary assessments and find out the gaps in terms of human resources and infrastructure.  

Dr. Gogoi also suggested to the respective department in-charges to raise their needs and demand to bring each component of District Hospital as per the IPHS Guidelines. He further urged them to fill up the IPHS Format to find out the gaps so as to resolve them and bring the hospital up to the set standard.  

The Indian Public Health Standards is a set of standards envisaged to improve the quality of healthcare delivery system in the country.
