Mokokchung CMO warns health workers against keeping proxies

Mokokchung, March 29 (MExN): Mokokchung Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Dr. SS Akaba Longchar has warned health workers against keeping proxies.  

The warning came during the Fourth Quarter Review Meeting of District Health Society (DHS), Mokokchung on March 29 at IDSP Hall, IMDH Mokokchung.  

Dr. Longchar directed SMOs and MOs to keep a strict vigil in their respective jurisdiction to check the presence of proxy workers and to report accordingly for necessary action.  

During the meeting, Accredited Social Health Activist (ASHA) coordinators were directed to inform all the ASHAS of the district to improve the ANC registration in the first trimester. The ASHAs play the main role in this, since they belong to the community.  

Meanwhile, Dr. Sholongba, GDMO UPHC Mokokchung, presented the quarterly report on the activities of UPHC Mokokchung. The meeting was attended by CMO, Dy.CMO, Programme Officers, SMOs and MOs, NHM & DAPCU staffs.
