Mokokchung DPDB monthly meeting conducted

Mokokchung, September 4 (MExN): The Mokokchung District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meeting was held on September 4 at the Conference Hall of ADC (Planning) Mokokchung under the Chairmanship of Advisor, Industries & Commerce and DPDB Chairman Mokokchung, Imnatiba.  

It was stated in a DIPR report that the meeting began with review of the last meeting minutes, after which Mokokchung District Website https://mokokchungnic.in hosted by National Information Centre was launched by the Chairman. While launching, the Chairman said that this will bring the people closer and connected thereby showcasing more transparency in all the Government activities in the district. He was also optimistic that the people in general will be benefited through this website.  

While giving the introductory briefing on the website, DIO, Er Temsu said that the programme is a central initiative policy programme where every district must have a single window and that all the district activities of the government are to be uploaded so that one can get information by the click of a button.  

The meeting also approved the Local Area Development Programme (LADP) 2018-19 and also the constitution of Verification Committee for LADP. The house also recommended for approval and registration of Society for Christian Living.  

Deputy Commissioner & Vice Chairman DPDB, Sachin Jaiswal requested the house for suggestions which he can put up in the forthcoming DC’s Conference to be held at Kohima. In this PHED, National Highway and Social Welfare department came forward with their grievances which they would like to request the Government to look into the problems for the benefit of the people at the earliest. DC also gave verbal report on the construction of Deputy Commissioner Office, Mokokchung where he said 40-45% of the work is completed upon which the house further suggested that the remaining works to be completed in time so as to avoid price escalation and further delay.  

Minister, PWD, Nagaland, Tongpang Ozukum, who also attended the meeting suggested the house to give detail report on the damaged caused by natural calamities from the next meeting saying that as DPDB members one should always be alert and should keep on updating every incidents that is happening in the district so that it can be discussed during the DPDB meetings and find ways for solution at the shortest time and minimise the suffering of the people.  

On launching of the District website, Tongpang called upon the members to materialise in reality. He requested all the departments to upload their respective schemes and programmes to meet with the objective of setting up of the website thereby benefiting the people in general. In the meeting, three new board members were also introduced Assistant Co-operative Registrar Societies, R. Bendang Ao, EAC, Khriethozo and EAC, Khiuzan Kaurinta.
