Mon DPDB meeting held

Mon, January 17 (DIPR): The Mon District Planning and Development Board meeting for the month of January 2014 was held on January 13 at the DC’s conference hall in Mon, under the chairmanship of MLA and Chairman NKVIB and DPDB Mon, N. Thongwang Konyak.

Reviewing the last DPDB meeting minutes, Deputy Commissioner cum Vice-Chairman DPDB Mon, Angau I. Thou (IAS) reiterated that the management committee of LADF should reach the work site while going on verification of the work done under LADF. She also announced that the border guesthouse will be constructed soon at Loakon village, Tizit division under Mon District, Tri-Junction of Assam, Nagaland & Arunachal.

She further directed SDO (PWD) Tizit to submit the clear report of road construction from Tizit to Yanpan, Sakhu, Loakon and Nokzang under ISC plan and from Shangsa- Longting to Yannu under NEC plan to the DC office before the next DPDB meeting, for further submission to the Government.

DIO CMO Office, Mon, Dr. Amenla, announced the successful conduct of polio eradication in India and requested the gathering to encourage bringing children below 5 years of age to the respective nearest polio booth in the next last phase polio campaign scheduled on January 19. Mass social work and work distribution on account of the coming Republic Day was announced in the house. NGO leaders, security forces and most of the DPDB members attended the meeting.
