Monthly meetings held in Phek and Tseminyu

Phek/Tseminyu, May 11 (DIPR): The Phek District Planning & Development Board (DPDB) and Tseminyu Sub Divisional Planning & Development Board (SDPDB) held their monthly meetings on May 10.

 

In Phek, the meeting was held at DC’s conference hall. The MLA of 17 Chizami A/C, Kezhienyi spoke on the occasion and appealed to the members of the house to be in station as they are duty bound for the uplift of the people.

 

MLA Kuzholuzo Nienu, who was also present in the meeting, stated he might be in the bench of opposition, but hoped that strong opposition maybe more effective in running the government.

 

Deputy Commissioner of Phek, Shanavas C (IAS) on behalf of the government servants assured to give their best services to the people and called upon all the employees to co-operate so that the target and vision can be achieved.

 

Meluri SDEO (Education), Appe Lohe suggested change of school name and the problems it faces. Executive Engineer PWD, Abhija Khing highlighted on all-weather roads for the district. Executive Engineer Power presented the departmental activities.

 

Phek Jailor and ITI principal shared the problems created by dumping of waste in the jail and ITI area. Pointing out that flies and bad smell are affecting the environment and health of the people, they requested to shift the dumping site to some other area.

 

Phek College principal also shared the ongoing activities of the college and the need of assistance for improvement of the college. He requested all the Head of Offices of Phek district to help.

 

Tseminyu: Tseminyu SDPDB meeting was held at DB’s Customary Court, ADC office with ADC and Vice Chairman SDPDB, Theodore Yanthan as the chairperson.

 

Regarding the proposed medical camp in the sub-division in the first week of June, the ADC requested SMO, CHC Tseminyu, Dr. Tinenlo James to acquire necessary requirements and sufficient medicines for the success of the camp.

 

The meeting also discussed the forthcoming bye-election for the lone Lok Sabha seat in the State. In this regard, the ADC requested the Department of R&B, Tseminyu sub-division to clear all the village roads connected to Tseminyu HQ at the earliest to enable the officials on election duty to carry out their responsibilities on time.

 

The agenda for deploying Women Police (Women Cell) at Tseminyu Police Station which was put up in the meeting by ASI Peno Rengma of Tseminyu Police Station was also deliberated.
