MPL: All Blacks continue to reign supreme

Kohima, June 2 (MExN): All Blacks’ continued to reign supreme at the ongoing Morning Premier League (MPL) leading the league table with 34 points.

The Ziekezou Seniors and Morung United were trailing the leader at 2nd and 3rd positions with 29 and 28 points, respectively at the end of week 15 on Friday.

With just three weeks left and each team having three matches, it remains to be seen whether the last year’s champion will continue to maintain its strong momentum.

A draw and a win, however, will emphatically seal the deal for the All Blacks.

The 4th season of the MPL, which officially kicked off on February 5 in Kohima, will conclude after 18 weeks with 90 matches in total.

10 teams are participating this season – Morning Football Club, Amur Falcon Football Club, Mrh.FC, Mrh. Sunrisers, Morung United FC, All Blacks, GeThemGo FC, Silver White, Mustang FC and Zeikezou Seniors.

On June 4, week 16 will kick off with an encounter between the last two teams at the bottom of the league table – Silver White and Mrh.Sunrisers.
