DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 11 (MExN): The Department of Health & Family Welfare (DoH&FW), Government of Nagaland has successfully vaccinated 1, 85,481 children during the course of the seven day Measles Rubella Vaccination Campaign (MRVC).
A total of 1919 school sessions and 321 outreach sessions were conducted in Nagaland till October 9, 2018, without any untoward incidents, a press release issued by the DoH&FW stated on Thursday.
Stating that the MRVC has been moving amidst various rumors against vaccination on social media, the department has appealed to all parents to cooperate and come forth to get all children between 9 months – 15 years to be immunized with MR vaccine and be protected with the life-threatening Measles and Rubella diseases.
Meanwhile, the DoH&FW has also expressed gratitude to the religious leader, organizations and individuals for coming out openly to dispel the misinformation’s and doubts spread through various channels, to protect our future generations.
