DIMAPUR, SEPTEMBER 13 (MExN): The Medziphema Town Mechü Krotho (MTMK) today expressed support to the proposed move for shifting the Dimapur Deputy Commissioner’s office from its present location to Chümoukedima. A press release from the MTMK informed that this was resolved during a meeting with all different tribe unions of Medziphema Town on September 11. It stated that the meeting dwelt on the pros and cons of shifting to the new site which included reasons such as traffic congestion, infrastructures, office complex and residences for staff, etc. “All the tribal units of Medziphema Town expressed solidarity to the proposed move,” the MTMK said. It meanwhile questioned “the motive of the government for its reluctance to the proposal of shifting the same which had been widely publicized for quite a long time now.”
