NABARD conducts State Credit Seminar

Kohima, January 23 (MExN): NABARD conducted State Credit Seminar at Hotel Japfu, Kohima on January 23. The State Focus Paper prepared by NABARD for the year 2019-2020 was launched by Tali Temjen Toy, Chief Secretary, Government of Nagaland at the seminar.


Speaking on the occasion, Temjen Toy called for convergence of all stakeholders for the ultimate benefit of farmers in the state.


For ensuring sustainability of agriculture, he advocated adoption of modern technology and capital infusion in the agriculture sector. He appreciated the initiatives taken by NABARD in credit planning, other promotional areas and support to State Government for infrastructure development.


Other speakers included Peter Lokho, SBI; Rollan Lotha, NSRLM; Albert Gangte, SIDBI; Chongsen of Eleutheros Christian Societyand S K Dhumal, GM/OIC, NABARD. Officials of line departments, banks and NGOs participated in the Seminar.
