Naga archers win medal at World Police & Fire Games

Two Naga archer Kilenmeren Ao and Zhokhoto Demo bagged medals at the World Police & Fire Games (WPFG) 2019 held recently in Chengdu China.

19 years Kilenmeren, who represented DGP Nagaland archery team won in the category of bare target archery and 3D archery event. He hails from Mopungchuket village under Mokokchung district. Earlier in 2017 championship, he won two Gold medals at WPFG held at Los Angeles. 

He thanked Nagaland DGP archery team for giving him the opportunity to take part in the World Police & Fire Games 2019 which was held from August 9 to 18 last. 

Further, he expressed gratitude to Youth Resources & Sports department, Nagaland for providing necessary kits.  

Meanwhile, Zhokhoto Demo (Rifleman), who represented Assam Rifles Archery team at the WPFG bagged three medals (One Gold, One Silver and One Bronze) in the wooden bow event.
