Naga Hoho acknowledges struggle of FNR members to bring peace

Appeals NPGs to implement CoR in letter and spirit

DIMAPUR, JUNE 12 (MExN): On the 10th anniversary of the signing of the Covenant of Reconciliation (CoR), the Naga Hoho has acknowledged the struggle of the Forum for Naga Reconciliation (FNR) members for leading the Naga people thus far towards the path of peace and reconciliation among the rival groups.

Communication Cell, Naga Hoho in a press statement on Wednesday maintained that with the exception of people who were born post cease-fire period, Naga people have witnessed horrific killings among different Naga political rival groups (factions) alongside the bloody war between the Indian occupational forces and Naga armies which was a harrowing nightmare and a memory never to be forgotten.

At this juncture, the Naga Hoho pointed out that being minorities in this sub-continent, fear and apprehensions are looming in the minds of Naga people of what destiny holds and therefore, amicable political settlement is the only hope which is possible once we are united and reconciled.

It has therefore fervently appealed to all Naga political rival groups to renew their vision and implement the CoR in letter and spirit for the common Naga cause.
