21 hopeful contestants are vying this year to win the grand title as winner of Naga Orpheus Hunt. From the mini rounds conducted at various districts, these talented bunch of 21 singers have now made it to the first recording session. Today, at Noune Resorts, Dimapur the contestants had a taste of their first recording session and each performed a song in front of cameras and the judges. The judges are Bambi Kevichusa, Tali Angh and Monungsang Longkumer.
Addressing media personnel at Noune Resorts today, Tangit Imsong, coordinator MDACC informed that after the recoding session, voting will begin and on October 28 the list of successful contestants will be announced after which the second session will commence on the same day at IMC Hall, Dimapur. Seven contestants will be dropped at the first elimination round. During the recording sessions, the contestants performed to a soundtrack. On November 8 at Niathu Resorts, the contestants will also go through a piano round. Professional pianists will accompany each of the contestants. Also, the judges will have the liberty to use wild card entry if they feel any of the eliminated contestants require it.
Tangit also informed that the recording sessions will also be covered in local channels and Hit 7 (a Mumbai TV channel available in Dimapur, Mokokchung and some other district) will broadcast snippets.
