Naga political solution must contain lasting peace: Nagaland Tribes Council

Kohima, February 10 (MExN): Nagaland Tribes Council (NTC) today stated that the scenario post Naga political solution must contain lasting peace, in which the citizens have the atmosphere of ovation to pursue one’s vocation with security, equality and justice. “To realize the desired objective, such political preparation should be adequately comprehensive with the participation of every segment that matters,” stated a press release from Media Cell, NTC.

The Council reminded that it has been harping on taking every stakeholder into confidence while framing structures for Naga political solution in the light of GOI willing to resolve the problem with the policy of inclusive approach.

No matter how magnanimous and sensible the terms of the solution may be, NTC stated, it may not become generally acceptable and honourable should the participants be exclusive in view of the fact that today there is more than one political group.

Meanwhile, the NTC lauded the resolution of CEC of NPF adopted on January 29, 2016, which urged the GOI and NSCN (IM) to include the rest of the stakeholders in the process of framing of a solution which is realistic and undeniably practical. It stated that the resolution is positive step towards finding lasting peace in “our” land.

At the same time, NTC appealed to concerned stakeholders to get ready and synchronize the acts together for the sake of early and lasting resolution of the problem.
