Mangalore, August 13 (MExN): The Naga Students’ Forum Mangalore (NSFM) organised its 10th Fresher’s Meet on August 13 at Summer Sands Resort, Ullal, Mangaluru.   Kevin Mendonsa, Journalist at The Times of India was the chief guest. He encouraged the students not only to be content getting their academic certificates, but go beyond the academics such as entrepreneurship, a press release from NSFM stated. Mendonsa further stressed that Naga students have a major role in promoting the Naga cultures and traditions and removing the concepts that Nagas still live in jungles, dress in leaves etc.   Kaini Cecilia in her welcome address told the students as they have come out of their comfort zones and are made to swim in the deep sea, they have to face the challenges, swim against the waves and achieve the goals and dreams. She said they have to get the pearl which is deep down the sea instead of collecting the empty shells which are out on the sea shore.   Chobo Rose Kin and Rozüo Romanus were adjudged Miss and Mr. Freshers respectively during the programme, which was attended by 58 students. Besü Daikho gave a speech on behalf of the freshers.   Various competitions were held in groups and the group champion was awarded with cash.
